What we do?
“Insight Machines” specializes in creating training simulations and simulation games. Such games are useful education tools, as they give students an opportunity to interact with a complex life-like system and let them apply the knowledge, that they have obtained via more traditional methods. Games are also useful for teachers as all decisions made by students during play can be recorded. These records can then be used to analyse the performance of students. Such analysis can give a fairly detailed view of students' understanding of specific issues.
Although we specialize in training simulations, we are also capable of creating computer simulations designed for non-training purposes like analysis of organization structure and its vulnerability to external shocks. We can also develop game engines based on computer models of complex systems. “Insight Machines” is not only about simulations. We develop various tools useful in education and training, like interactive quizzes or dedicated applications designed to support specific workshop exercises.
Who do we work for?
We are dedicated to work with anyone who is in need for a computer simulation. This includes:
- Companies, that wish to use games to train their staff quicker;
- Education institutions (schools, collages, universities etc.) requiring education games for their students;
- NGOs, that want to use games to spread awareness of certain issues.
How do we do it?
The general procedure for initiating a project looks like this:
- You contact us using the email address provided in the “Contact” section with a general description of what you need. For example, if you conduct workforce training courses, you could send us a brief description of the course. The description should contain such information like the topics, that you cover and the training techniques, that you currently use. You could also give us some hints about the parts of the training, that you wish to enrich with a simulation game.
- Basing on the information from you, we prepare an analysis of what can be done, how long it will take and how much it will cost.
- Depending on the character of the game, whether it is publicly available, or used only in an internal network, we can set up a publicly available server, or provide you with a complete game ready to be installed and some guidance on how to use it.
Payment method and other details will be discussed with every client individually as they depend on the scale of the project and other characteristics. We are very flexible.
