This project is an attempt to create a Java based 3D physics engine for all sorts of car games. We are planning to use it for both all-fun games like on-line racing games and more serious productions, like educational games targeted at drivers.
The engine is still under development, but it already shows some potential. If you want to see a demonstration of the engine in action click the “Launch” button at the bottom of this page. The demonstration application uses JOGL for rendering 3D graphics. At this point, it contains no sound effects, or music.
The demonstration requires Java 5.0 or newer. The newest version of the Java Virtual Machine can be downloaded from here.
The 3D model of a Ford Mustang used in this demonstration was created by Ido3D.
